The Harmony Institute in St. Petersburg

My long-time friend and colleague, Mark Horowitz, just returned from one of his periodic trips to St. Petersburg, Russia, where he teaches an extended workshop on systems thinking for students at the International School for Psychotherapy, Counseling and Group Leadership.
The International School is a 3-year comprehensive training program of the Harmony Institute, founded in the early 1990’s through a collaboration with the Concord Institute (USA), which is directed by Tom Yeomans. Harmony’s philosophy is that individual development in a group context can contribute to major shifts toward a better society.
Mark delivered a copy of Leadership Agility to Harmony’s co-director, Alexander (Sasha) Badkhen, making this the widest distribution point for the book to date. I’ve had the opportunity to meet Sasha several times during his periodic visits to Boston, and I greatly admire the work he, his co-director Mark, and the entire staff at Harmony are doing to make the world a better place.
On his way back to Boston, Mark Horowitz stopped in London to visit his long-time colleague, Roger Evans, and gifted him with the book as well. Roger is co-author with Peter Russell of The Creative Manager. This book, which is based on a workshop that Roger and Mark conducted in companies throughout Europe, was one of many sources that contributed to our conception of the “creative agility” competency described in the book.
